Iran's Exhibition in Shanghai Highly Acclaimed
The exhibition held during the first Iran's Cultural Week' in China and was to be closed on July 8.
According to IRNA, a similar four-day event was held earlier in the Chinese capital city of Beijing.
Zhou Mu Ya, accompanied by a number of Shanghai Municipality officials, visited various sections of Iran's cultural-artistic exhibition in Shanghai, including handicrafts, paintings, calligraphies, and valuable carpets depicting heroic scenes from Shahnameh (the book of kings).
Following his visit, the Chinese official praised the elegance of Iranian art and extended his sincere thanks to Iranian officials for the public display of Iran's cultural products in Shanghai.
He expressed hope that such measures would further strengthen the mutual understanding between the two nations.
Meanwhile, Iran's Consulate General in Shanghai Morteza Rahmani Movahed, extended his sincere thanks to Zhou Mu Ya for visiting the exhibition, and expressed hope that holding such events in Shanghai as well as the presence of Chinese artists in Iran will further be facilitated by the support and contribution of Shanghai state authorities.
The programs presented during Iran's Cultural Week included performance of some concerts by Bushehr Traditional Music Group, an exhibition on handicrafts, a painting exposition of an Iranian painter Hossein Khosrojerdi, a calligraphy exhibition of Esrafil Shirchi, and an exhibition on illustrations from Shahnameh on canvas as well as carpets.
